How Verona started

Verona began in a church basement book sale in central Indiana, where our founder kept buying the same worn commentaries because nobody printed decent editions anymore. Paperbacks split at the spine after one Lent. Study Bibles came with type so small that older readers gave up on them.

What we do now

We publish a small list of our own editions and carefully stock titles from other houses, always with the same questions: is the translation honest, is the type readable, and will the binding survive real use? If a book fails one of those tests, it doesn't go on our shelf.

• Packed and shipped by hand from our Indiana warehouse
• Editorial notes written by scholars, not marketers

Who we serve

Clergy, catechists, seminary students, book clubs, and readers who simply want the primary text with room in the margins. We are a bookseller and publisher, not a religious authority - we print the sources and let readers do the reading.
